In integrating psychology and sociology, Sri Aurobindo has given rise to a new discipline that he calls “The Psychology of Social Development”. This course will aim to understand this new discipline, its ontology and epistemology, particularly with reference to experiential truths, individual progress, and social relations. In particular, it will focus on objective and subjective research methodologies in Social Sciences: not just cognitive understandings but experiential insights, revelations and illuminations about the nature of Truth and our unique relations with it.
